How do we trust in God? We read it in Scripture, we hear it in sermons and books are written on it. But frankly, i still find it challenging to trust God with a lot of things. Sometimes it feels like God is not willing to help – but God cannot deny Himself because His character is faithful:
2 Timothy 2:13 “If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.”
At times it feels like God is not able to help us, yet we also know that cannot be possible because:
Matthew 19:26 “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
And ultimately, perhaps i doubt His love for me, or at least i wonder if i did something wrong to make Him withhold something from me. But His love cannot be doubted because Jesus proved His love when He went to Calvary for me. My sins and wrong-doing have been forgiven and as i confess my impatience, i confess my doubt and i confess i have a tendency to idolise false gods, i pray that my Lord God forgives me and revives my broken spirit.
Lord Jesus, revive my broken spirit, i am now laid low, i have no control over anything and i can only wait for You to act. Come to me swiftly and release me from my burdens. Come pull me out of the pits, come bring me back to Your side and let me soar with You once again.
