“Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing,” say the Scriptures, “but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25
There is something wholesome and good about meeting together with Christian brothers and sisters. Whilst in the secular world people also meet up together, the purpose of such meetings can sometimes be more about showing off to each other and comparing with each other, than about building up one another and encouraging each other.
True fellowship referred to in the verse is about inspiring one another, listening and encouraging each other.
Lord Jesus, thank you for the fellowship of believers. Thank you for family that extends beyond biological nexus, but is family that runs through the same Spirit.
